Feel that Beat!

Last night was hella fun!!

Yesterday we did lunch somewhere yummy!  Nice walk there, gives you a great appetite! (Which is good in NOLA!)

Beautiful church!

Tragically beautiful gutted building

We have arrived!

Cowboy cavior = black eye peas.. and other stuffs, but it was yummy!

Black bean burger with guac and cheese and other veggies!

Seriously... one of the delicious burgers ever.. the bread was like..succulent.  The burger was just as good a meat burger ohmygosh!

First time trying bread pudding... divine

Yay for pen!

Skyline

Even under the highways are cool

Then we went to an award show called Best of the Beat Awards hosted by Offbeat Magazine.  Problem being... we couldn't get in.  Apparently you had to be 21 and over to get in (which majority of the group isn't) even though that wasn't listed on the website nor did that happen last year.  We had to get a "chaperone" (which is dumb) before we could go in which caused sadly a huge delay :(

Waiting outside!

Whilst we waited.. stopped by a place called Mother's and got seafood gumbo! It was aight.

Finally in!  They look mighty cute!

Guys who sing jewish-folk.. something songs.. they were awesome and a lot of fun!

Dee-1, up and coming rapper

Artists in the crowd!

Mannie Fresh and Dee-1

Me and Molly @ Mother's!

With Dee-1!

Overall, it was a good night :)

Every day has been an adventure, lots is happening, lots is going to happen, and it's super overwhelming!  But I like it!  The sad panda part is that there is no accessible halal meat market to me.  There is one but it is 20 minutes away via car and apparently there is no bus that goes there.  =\  3 months without cooking meat? Okaaaaaaay!

My internship starts Tuesday and the first Mardi Gras parade is tonight! So... yeah, it's a load-ful!

I'm tired again, wah.  I need snuggles.

Toodles
